Terracotta Tiles Have A Multitude Of Uses

Flooring and decking of all sorts of materials provide nearly unlimited choices for consumers. Wood, marble, concrete, carpeting and so much more can be chosen depending on design objectives. But one surface that rivals any in terms of beauty and versatility is terracotta tiles. Just a few examples of where this flooring might fit will hopefully provide some guidance as to the next flooring choice.

There might be no better choice for outdoor patios and terraces. The natural warm and rich earth colors are ideally suited for the outdoors. And, since the surface textures and tones vary, one might choose a rougher textured surface for outside use as well.

This flooring has long been a popular choice for pool decking too. Again, the rich earthen color makes for a beautiful natural contrast against the pool water. Together, the tile and pool make for an ideal tropical combination.

Adding color to the tile pattern is also an easy enough project. Colorful smaller Italian or Mexican tile squares, for example, can be installed at the junction of four lager tile pieces. Repeating this pattern throughout the terrace or patio will even further enhance the tropical paradise theme.

Another testament to the versatility of this flooring type is the fact that these can be used indoors as well. One could choose a smooth surface that provides a bit of a shine. The smooth tile choice tends to result in a less rustic and more elegant look and feel. The flooring itself is stunningly beautiful, but one could also add decorative color pieces here too.

For the next floor related project, perhaps the final choice will seem a little easier. Wherever one decides that some new flooring is needed, terracotta tiles might be the way to go. Inside or outside, there really are no limitations.
